South African midfielder, Kamohelo Mokotjo, was awarded the PEC Zwolle Player of the Season award as voted for by the club’s fans.
The 23-year-old has been a revelation at Zwolle this season since making the move from Feynoord, putting in a number of fine performances and playing a massive role in their KNVB Cup victory, their first major trophy in their 103-year history.
With the season now complete, the fans rewarded ‘Kamo’ for his fine showing by choosing him as the 2013/14 winner of the Henk Timmer award, their Player of the Season.
Mokotjo finished the season with the highest passing accuracy (88.9%) of any Eredivisie midfielder that made 1000 passes or more, and has even been linked with a possible move away from PEC in the upcoming transfer window.
However, despite the midfielder’s fine season, he was not afforded a place in Gordon Igesund’s Bafana Bafana team for the trip to Oceania later this month.
