French Ligue 1 outfit, Rennes, will be sending a representative to the upcoming African Cup of Nations to watch potential signing, Mandla Masango.
It was reported recently that the French club were interested in taking a closer look at the player, and that they were going to travel to South Africa to see him play in the Soweto Derby earlier this month.
However, when the game was called off due to the untimely death of Senzo Meyiwa, they had to cancel their plans to watch Masango play.
Now though, the Siya crew have been informed that Rennes have plans to travel to Equatorial Guinea early next year to see what the 25-year-old can offer to Bafana Bafana should he make the final cut in Shakes Mashaba’s squad.
Masango is yet to sign a new contract at Naturena, and will become a free agent at the end of the current season, meaning that he is free to open up contract talks with any interested party come the turning of the year.
