Kaizer Chiefs have already lost striker Bernard Parker and midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala to injury, and now it seems they will lose another striker in Kingston Nkhatha to injury as well.
The Zimbabwean limped off in the Carling Black Label Cup game against rivals against Orlando Pirates on Saturday, and coach Stuart Baxter tells the Siya crew Nkhatha will be out for a long time.
Baxter said that Nkhatha suffered a bruised and bleeding thigh which is heavily swollen.
"It's a bad injury. It's a bleeding and bruised thigh. Normally this could take anything between seven days to five months,” Baxter explained.
“We just hope that it's not that bad as you know we already don't have Parker and Tshabalala.
“It's sad that we lost Nkhatha so early in the game. We just hope he recovers in time for the new season. But it looks bad at the moment.”
