The Siya crew recently revealed that the forward was likely to miss the start of Chiefs’ 2014/15 campaign after undergoing surgery on an ankle injury that has been present for a while.
Now, the Amakhosi’s physio, Dave Milner, has confirmed that Parker faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, with him being confined to a moon boot for around six weeks.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Milner said, "Parker has undergone surgery on his ankle. The PSL’s 2013/14 Top GoalScorer battled throughout the season with a troubling ankle injury which led to the medical team deciding to carry out the surgery sooner than later.”
The site explained that Parker will begin his rehabilitation once he has had the moon boot removed, but is expected to be sidelined for at least three months.
