Thulani Hlatshwayo has a big decision to make regarding his future, the Siya crew has learnt what offer Mamelodi Sundowns have tabled for the defender.
It’s believed that the Brazilians have proposed a three-year contract with an added option to extend it by a further two as they desperately try to lure the Bidvest Wits and Bafana Bafana skipper to Chloorkop.

Sundowns want three Wits players and have bid a whopping R17-million for ‘Tyson’, Deon Hotto and Haashim Domingo.
But there is a potential snag regarding that agreement, with insiders informing the Siya crew that Downs might not land all three and could very well have to revise the offer made to Wits should one of Hlatshwayo, Hotto or Domingo not agree to the move.
It was reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma that the new contract proposal currently on the table would also add Hlatshwayo to their highest earner bracket.
The national team skipper was offered a bumper deal at Wits in August last year to fend off interest from Orlando Pirates – and indications are that Downs are willing to improve his salary should he join them next season.
‘Tyson’ could be earning in the region of R5-million per annum – with bonuses – if he puts pen to paper at Chloorkop. But he is understood to also be weighing up an offer from Pirates, though details of that offer have not yet been disclosed to the Siya crew.
