On Tuesday Celtic announced that they had tied the 32-year-old keeper down on a new three-year deal that will see him stay with the Mangaung outfit until 2025.
Mabokgwane has been a man reborn since switching his allegiance from Orlando Pirates to Celtic midway through the 2019/20 season, after a lack of game-time at the Buccaneers.
Now that their number one has been secured for the foreseeable future, there are a few more players who Celtic need to decide on.
One of those players are Lucky Baloyi, who joined Celtic as a free agent on a three-year deal in 2017 and the 'Sheriff' has gone on to assert himself as one of the club’s best players.
But, the 29-year-old, who penned a short-term deal with the club halfway through the 2019/20 season, will see his current deal come to an end in June 2021.
It is expected that Celtic will reward the former Kaizer Chiefs man for his loyalty to the club, while also ensuring that they hold onto key players amid the club’s two-window transfer ban.
