Pitso Mosimane wants his side to uphold their goalscoring form, adding that they should maintain an attitude similar to that of English Premier League giants, Manchester City.
Mamelodi Sundowns scored five goals in their Telkom Knockout clash at the weekend, while also recently recording a big scoreline in the CAF Champions League when they defeated Cote d’Or 11-1.
Speaking to the media after the AmaZulu encounter, Mosimane pointed out that at one point in the game, his side forgot that they are capable of scoring more goals.
“Once we scored the goals we then went back to this mentality of passing the ball around to show how good we are and forgetting to score the goals,” the Sundowns coach told the media.
“When we played Cote d’Or they were ruthless more than here (against AmaZulu), but they were messing around a little in the second half. But we need to change the mentality and score as many as we can. If Man City can put eight in the Premier League and Bayern can give Spurs seven, we should also do that. That is the mentality,” he added.
