Pirates suffered a 2-0 defeat to Lidoda Duvha at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday to close out their seven-day Limpopo trip after they beat Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 3-0 just days earlier.
Now, with undefeated Arrows coming to town, the timing of the match could not be more ideal according to Davids, who has challenged his side to rise to the occasion against Abafana Be’sthende.
“The good thing after such a bad result and a performance is that we’ve got the next game in three days’ time and really for us to immediately focus on getting back to our performance level and what we know we can do,” Davids told Pirates’ media department.
“We are at Orlando Stadium, we are Pirates, we are a big team and it’s time for the players to show what we really can do in this home match against Golden arrows,” he added.

Pirates will be sweating over the availability of key defensive duo Wayde Jooste and Ntsikelelo Nyauza. Both players were substituted in Sunday’s match after a nasty head collision that saw both players floored although they tried to soldier on despite eventually being subbed off.
A win for Pirates could see them leapfrog their opponents into fourth place, while for Arrows they’ll be looking to close the gap between themselves and third-placed SuperSport United.
Kick off for the match is scheduled for 17:00.
