It was another game, and another Man of the Match showing from Rushine de Reuck over the weekend, but the defender wasn’t too happy after the KwaZulu-Natal Derby.

Maritzburg United were unable to get back to winning ways at the weekend as they drew 0-0 with AmaZulu in their Absa Premiership clash, but De Reuck will have been pleased to land the Man of the Match award after yet another clean sheet.
It was the sixth time this season that The Team of Choice have kept a clean sheet, and the point meant that they climbed up the league table and into the top 10.
De Reuck, who recently penned a long-term five-year deal with Maritzburg, is now hoping for an improved result on Sunday afternoon when they take on Polokwane City.
Speaking after the game, the defender said, “A KZN Derby, it wasn’t easy… We tried our best but we weren’t good enough to take the three points. We keep on pushing as a team, we keep on believing in each other, and hopefully we will pick up the three points next week.
“It was a very hard game and we didn’t create clear-cut chances like we usually do - AmaZulu were good defensively and difficult to break down, but we’ll keep on pushing.”
