Veluyeke Zulu, who has attracted the attention of Kaizer Chiefs some of the PSL’s giants, could well be lost to Mzansi football entirely.
As reported by the crew in edition 1215 of Soccer Laduma, Chiefs are the frontrunners for the Richards Bay FC defender’s signature, and according to Siya sources, have opened talks with the Natal Rich Boys as well as the player’s camp over a possible transfer.
But, according to well-placed Siya sources, the 26-year-old has also attracted interest from Europe, with an unnamed Danish top-flight team enquiring about his availability.
The interest from Europe could mean that the player could be lost to the local game completely, but Chiefs still hold an advantage, as the player is open to the possibility of moving to Naturena.
As reported by the crew Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United have all enquired about the lanky defender.
It now remains to be seen which side wins the race for the in-demand defender when his contract with the KZN outfit comes to an end in June 2021.
His club, who is currently in second place in the GladAfrica Championship standings with a game in hand, will look to hold onto Zulu if they manage to gain promotion to the top tier.
