This season, Nurkovic missed eight of Chiefs’ opening matches. To say his presence was missed is an understatement.

Gavin Hunt’s side has won just one match when he was out injured and have a shocking 12.5% win rate without him. Chiefs have further drawn four matches and suffered three defeats in the DStv Premiership during that time.

However, with his injury problems behind him, Nurkovic returned for Chiefs to great effect. With him in the side, Hunt’s side has a 75% win rate having won four out of the three matches in which he has featured. They have suffered just one defeat to Maritzburg United with a 25% loss ratio.
