Kaizer Chiefs already know that they will end the year sitting pretty on top of the Absa Premiership table – but they’ve got two games to make things even better.
The Glamour Boys are currently 10 points clear of SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns on the log, and with just two games left to play in 2019 they know they will start the new decade ahead of the pack.
Erick Mathoho, who could return against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday after serving a two-game suspension, believes that they need to make sure they end the year on a high in order to go into the festive break full of confidence – starting with his former employers.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, ‘Tower’ – who has never lost against Siwelele – said, “It’s not going to be easy. They are a good team with good players, but every game is tough, and we have to focus and put all our efforts into winning the game.
“We have two matches left for the year and if we can win them, the festive break will be a happy one for us. It is going to take a lot of hard work for us to win the points, we ready for the challenge.”
Celtic travel to Chiefs for their game at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, with the game getting underway at 20h15.
