There’s an update regarding the long term future of one of coach Pitso Mosimane’s trusted technical team members at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Following last week’s report by the Siya crew that Manqoba Mnqgithi was on the brink of also agreeing a four-year deal with the club to continue working alongside ‘Jingles’, who himself put pen to paper on a new contract recently, another announcement is now expected from Chloorkop with the finer details all but completed.

Mnqgithi, according to his agent Mike Makaab, has agreed a deal in principle with Sundowns will also look to complete a decade in his role as assistant coach having joined the club in February 2014, two years after Mosimane took over the reins.
“In principle we have agreed a four-year deal with Sundowns and we are just busy finalising the paper work,” explained Makaab of Prosport International.
The former Golden Arrows and AmaZulu mentor has himself expressed how keen he was to stay on, even long before Downs confirmed Mosimane’s own bumper four-year deal last month during a three-hour long press conference.

Together they have won four Absa Premiership titles, the CAF Champions League and Super Cup, the Nedbank Cup and the Telkom Knockout.
Mnqgithi was also with Mosimane in Japan when Downs participated in Fifa Club World Cup nearly four years ago.
They will, however, have someone new to work with after the club also confirmed last month that Jose Ramon Alexanko, previously the director of scouting, had now been appointed the new head of technical.
