The Bafana Bafana star joined the French Ligue 1 outfit four years ago from Mamelodi Sundowns and his injury setbacks have robbed him of establishing himself as a regular at the club, though he remained part of their plans.
“Keagan’s future is obviously something we are working hard on now and we are looking at all the possibilities globally,” his long-time representative Paul Mitchell of Siyavuma Sports Group told the Siya crew.
“What is important is that in any new move, we should try and tick all the boxes that are important to Keagan and his family. He is expecting his first baby soon and gets married in the off season – two major things in his life.”
In an interview with the SA Football Journalists’ Association (Safja) during lockdown last year, Dolly confirmed that his preference was to stay in Europe, specifically at Montpellier as he felt he still had a lot to learn and achieve.
There’s been talk of interest from Al Ahly, where, if a deal is struck, Dolly would reunite with ex-Downs coach Pitso Mosimane.
“There will always be talk about local or the big giants in North Africa regarding Keagan. The interest in him has always been there, since before his European move and has continued. He is contract free in June and would be a great signing for any club.” added Mitchell.
“He is a fantastic professional, carries himself in the right way and works very hard wherever he is. Keagan is always conscious of representing his country abroad in a positive way, something we are very proud of him for.”
