Billiat & 10 Other PSL Stars In Squad For Afcon Qualifiers

Kaizer Chiefs’ Khama Billiat is among a host of players from the Absa Premiership that have been selected for Zimbabwe senior national team’s provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A total of 11 players from Mzansi’s top-flight have been called up for the Warriors as the PSL continues to prove to be the league attracting interest from other countries.

The Warriors are scheduled to take on Botswana and Zambia respectively in next month’s qualifiers, and 32 players have been called up in the provisional squad.

Billiat leads the list of players which includes Elvis Chipezeze (Baroka), Divine Lunga (Golden Arrows), Ronald Pfumbidzai (Bloemfontein Celtic), Kelvin Moyo (Chippa United), Butholezwe Ncube (AmaZulu), Ovidy Karuru (AmaZulu), Kudakwashe Mahachi (SuperSport United), Terrence Dzvukamanja (Bidvest Wits), Knox Mutizwa (Golden Arrows) and Evans Rusike (SuperSport United).

As confirmed from Zimbabwe Football Association, the Warriors’ home fixture against Botswana will be played on November 15 at Barbourfields stadium, with the away match against Zambia scheduled for November 19 at the Heroes National Stadium.
