The 22-year-old has scored three goals for the University of Johannesburg during their march into the semi-finals of the tournament, playing a vital role for his side in their midfield as they almost made it into the last four without a single defeat to their name.
Now, according to Siya sources, it is believed that Mandyu’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with the Siya crew being informed that both Free State Stars and National First Division outfit, Witbank Spurs are eager to try and bring him on board as a free agent once the tournament is over.
As a student without a professional contract, Mandyu is not bound by the transfer window, and is therefore able to join any club of his choosing if terms can be agreed upon.
For now, though, the midfield dynamo will have his eyes focused on the Varsity Football tournament final as UJ face Wits for a spot in the final this evening at 18h15.
