Drogba Backs African ‘Brothers’ To Give Everything In UCL Final
Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend, Didier Drogba, is backing Mo Salah and Sadio Mane to ‘give everything’ when Liverpool do battle with Real Madrid.
The 40-year-old Ivorian, who led the Blues to a dramatic victory in 2012, was in South Africa as part of Heineken’s Share The Drama campaign and will be watching tonight’s momentous clash in Soweto.
As a former winner himself, the Chelsea hero knows exactly what it takes to go all the way, and he thinks that Salah, a former teammate, and Mane, will be buoyed when they feel the atmosphere in Kyiv tonight.
Speaking exclusively to the Siya crew today, the former Marseille and Galatasaray man said, “They’re the younger brothers, and for them to be in the Champions League final is amazing after the season that they’ve been having.
“They’re going to try, they have to try, to give everything because it’s one game, it’s 90 minutes plus, and they have a chance to win it. I’m sure when they walk out and they see the crowd they’re going to be extra motivated.”
Liverpool and Madrid go head to head in Ukraine tonight at 20h45, with the Reds going for UCL title number six and the Galacticos chasing an incredible 13th trophy.
