A midfielder, who came through the ranks of Ajax Cape Town, is working hard to get back into professional football.
24-year-old Ziyaad Eksteen left Ajax as a free agent in 2017, where he was thereafter snapped up by Maritzburg United, who at the time had Fadlu Davids at the helm.
However, after making just two appearances for the first team, the midfielder’s time at Maritzburg quickly came to an end last year, following Davids’ departure from the club.

Maritzburg parted ways with the 24-year-old at the end of the 2018/19 campaign, where he has since been training on his own to keep fit and eager to get back into the game.
His representative, Sean Roberts told the Siya crew, “Ziyaad is a free agent, hungry as ever to get back into professional football. He is currently injury free and fitter than ever, we are actively searching for a new team for him.”
Eksteen has made just six top-flight appearances since the 2014/15 season.
