Orlando Pirates have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of one of their transfer targets.
As reported in edition 1206 of Soccer Laduma in January, the Siya crew revealed that Pirates have made enquiries into TS Galaxy’s speedy attacker, Shaune Mogaila.
Pirates have been tracking the 25-year-old since he burst onto the scene with Highlands Park, who he joined from the University of Johannesburg back in 2018.

The crew reported that Pirates have made informal enquiries into the player’s availability and were expected to step up their interest in the winger during the January transfer window.
Now, it appears that Pirates interest in the speedy attacker could be put on hold, after Galaxy announced that the winger is still nursing an injury and is expected to be unavailable for "a few more weeks." This means that Pirates are unlikely to track the player until after he has recovered.
"He is still out with a knee injury. He is expected to be out for the next few weeks," Galaxy stated on the club's official website.

Mogaila suffered a knee injury in his side’s 3-0 loss to SuperSport early in January has been a notable absentee for coach Owen Da Gama’s side, missing the Rockets’ last four matches. The player is also likely to miss Galaxy's next three matches against TS Sporting, Chippa United and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
This season, the winger has made 10 appearances for the Mpumalanga-based outfit, scoring two goals in the process.
