With the season nearing an end, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have given insight into who will decide on the future of striker Tokelo Rantie.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star signed a deal with TTM until the end of the season in January. At the time, the club’s marketing and communications manager Livhuwani Madzuhe told the Siya crew that TTM had an option to extend the former Bournemouth striker’s deal for one year.
Rantie had not played football in about two seasons when he put pen to paper on a deal with TTM, blowing his chances of making a strong comeback at Cape Town City first and then Mamelodi Sundowns.
But he was given another opportunity to resurrect his career and he has since played 10 games in all competitions but is yet to find the back of the net. He does, however, have one assist.
The club is yet to exercise the option in his contract, as it’s been revealed that the decision lies in the hands of head coach Dylan Kerr.
“That would be up to the coach and his assistants,” general manager Rufus Matsena told the Siya crew, without wanting to go into too much detail just yet.
