Following a disappointing first half of the season with the Buccaneers due to lack of enough game-time, Tlolane was loaned to Maritzburg United in January, where he had been doing well to revive his career, before the league was suspended in March.

The 25-year-old versatile player, who was signed as an attacker by Bucs, has named six players he competed with for position, as he is expected to return to the club at the end of his loan deal in KwaZulu-Natal.
“Obviously, there are things that you can’t comment on prematurely. I can’t say that I will play and I can’t say that I won’t play,” he said about chances on his return to the club.

“If I’m honest, I shared position with top players – (Augustine) Mulenga, (Thembinkosi) Lorch, (Luvuyo) Memela, (Vincent) Pule, Gabadinho Mhango and Kabelo Dlamini. Those are all top players. The best that I can do, which I have been doing all along, it’s working hard and being positive and learning. I can only be hopeful about playing regularly. It all comes down to how hard I work and the coaches’ decisions and what they feel is best,” said Tlolane.
