As reported by the Siya crew last week, Swallows FC have confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana international Sifiso Hlanti.

The left back began training with Kaizer Chiefs two months ago and it was understood that he’d accepted an employment contract, though Amakhosi could not register him due to the FIFA ban that was imposed since February this year.
Chiefs were hoping to win their appeal to have the ban overturned, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed their request last week.
It meant Hlanti, along with goalkeeper Brandon Petersen and midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange, would then have to wait until next season to be registered by the Glamour Boys, though there was still ambiguity on whether they could be added to the squad as free agents from March 2 next year when they have served the ban.
That issue is now irrelevant after Swallows chairman David Mogashoa confirmed via his social media account that Hlanti would be joining the Dube Birds.
It’s expected that this agreement will be until the end of the season and Hlanti will return to Naturena on 1 July 2021.
