Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Wayne Sandilands, has sent a heartfelt message to the club’s supporters as the team is going on a break after finishing their season.
Sandilands finished the season with 12 clean sheets from 27 league matches and was behind only Ronwen Williams who kept 13 clean sheets after playing all 30 matches for SuperSport United.

Sandilands was influential in helping Pirates to finish in third place on the Absa Premiership log and to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup with some breath-taking performances which included saving two penalties against Matsatsantsa.

“Another season comes to an end. We wanted to achieve more for our loyal supporters. We learnt a lot and hopefully, we can use the lessons to improve as individuals and as a group. Thank you all for the continued support – it doesn’t go unnoticed,” said Sandilands in a heartfelt message on Twitter.
