A Mamelodi Sundowns player opened up about how his promotion to the first team caught him by surprise.

Speaking on Sundowns' official website, the right-back admitted that he was content with continuing his career in the lower leagues and did not see his promotion coming.
“Honestly, I did not see my promotion coming. I had told myself that I would be playing in the lower leagues and that was that, but the following day I was registered to be playing for the first team,” Lukhubeni explained on Sundowns’ official website.
The 24-year-old’s first goal in the Sundowns colours will be one of the things he will remember for a long time to come.
