After the Siya crew reported that veteran Reneilwe Letsholonyane has parted ways with TS Galaxy, the club has now confirmed that four more players have followed him out of the exit door.
After getting their season off to a decent start, Galaxy had a baptism of fire in the DStv Premiership, after the club fell into the trap of changing coaches, with Dan Malesela and Zipho Dlangalala enduring tough tests with the club.
But Owen Da Gama was roped in halfway through the campaign and together with the help of former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Shaun Bartlett, managed to steady the ship with the Rockets narrowly missing out on a top eight spot.
With the first season jitters now a thing of the past, Da Gama has started shaking things up at the cub.
The club confirmed on their website that they have parted ways with Myer Bevan, Felix Badenhorst, Mbulelo Wambi, and Xolani Mahola – in addition to the departure of Yeye.
“All these players failed to command a regular starting berth for the Rockets in the current season. The club and the players decided to cut ties by mutual consent. The Rockets recently cemented their Premier Division status and they have already started to plan for the 2021-22 season,” the statement read in part.
As reported by the Siya crew, the Rockets have also bolstered their attacking options with the capture of former Chippa United striker Austin Kwem as well as midfielder Sinethemba Mngomezulu from Uthongathi FC.
