The Chilli Boys opted not to renew the contracts of several players heading into the bio-bubble in mid-August to conclud the 2019/20 season, but Masalesa was one of the key players his namesake coach Lehlohonolo Seema held on to.
So, it did come as a surprise when he was deemed surplus to requirements at the start of the new DStv Premiership campaign.
Siya sources have now, however, informed the crew that the former Orlando Pirates midfielder has joined Black Leopards, where he had a brief spell before.
The 28-year-old was a regular at Lidoda Duvha after he was signed by the club mid-way through the 2018/19 season – and that should give him the confidence that he can return back to his best again in a familiar setting.
Leopards are also expected to appoint a new coach, Dylan Kerr, having parted company with Patrick Aussems on Monday night.
Aussems was only in charge of three matches and lost all of them.
