Two former Mamelodi Sundowns players believe it would be best for SuperSport United midfielder Teboho Mokoena to go abroad at this stage of his career.
Both Sundowns and Belgian club Anderlecht have their expressed their interest in the player, with Sundowns believed to be leading the race to secure the player's signature.
But both Brent Carelse and David Kannemeyer feel it would be best for the 25-year-old midfielder to go to Europe.
"It's a difficult one. I know the boy has aspirations of playing in Europe, so obviously if he has aspirations of playing in Europe, then surely he should go there. For me, definitely Anderlecht. So hopefully he can go there and make it a springboard, for him to go to a bigger league and I am sure he can do that. He's got the quality, so I think Anderlecht would be a better option and then move on to a bigger league and bigger club," Carelse told the Siya crew.
"Football is a strange game. Anything can happen at any time. So he needs to take what comes his way immediately."
Kannemeyer agrees with Carelse: "I think it's best for him to move overseas and go get more exposure and to also experience something new. Belgium is a good start. We will be in the window there."
