Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday confirmed the departure, albeit on loan, of one of their players as reported by the Siya crew this week.
Sifiso Ngobeni, 24, is now on his way to crosstown rivals SuperSport United for the remainder of the season with the left back having joined the Brazilians from the now defunct Bloemfontein Celtic around July last year.
The move was confirmed by Downs on the club's official Twitter account.
“Sifiso Ngobeni has joined SuperSport United on loan for the rest of the 2021/22 season. We wish you the best of luck Sifiso,” the club statement read.
He will be a welcome addition to Matsatsantsa and will compete with veteran Onismor Bhasera for a starting berth under coach Kaitano Tembo.
Ngobeni made only two appearances at Sundowns, struggling for regular game-time as expected – though age is still very much on his side.
He will be hoping to grab the opportunity at SSU with both hands.
