With so much happening behind the scenes at Naturena, Kaizer Chiefs have to somehow pick themselves up to try to avoid a fifth straight defeat in the DStv Premiership.
Following the recent departure of Stuart Baxter, and Njabulo Ngcobo's tantrum when he was substituted, Amakhosi have since confirmed the suspension of attacking player Dumisani Zuma for the second time this season. It's proving to be a chaotic campaign for the Soweto giants and they now have another tough assignment against Nedbank Cup defending champions and finalists Marumo Gallants at FNB Stadium tonight, on the back of four straight defeats in the Premiership.
Chiefs are planning to reduce the average age of the squad, are these players safe?
Amakhosi midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange has stressed the importance of players doing their job, amid all the negativity surrounding the Naturena outfit.
"I won't say much about them. We will focus on ourselves. I know that if we do great, it does not matter who we are facing. We have to make sure that we do our job and the rest will take care of itself," Nange said via the Amakhosi media department.
"As a club, we have a good squad. We have quality players. It's good to play back-to-back because we lost the (last) game and we want to play as early as possible, so that we can get the result."
Chiefs are fifth on the Premiership standings, with chances of quaifying for one of the CAF club competitions slipping away by the week.
