15 Bizarre Signings Chiefs Have Made

Kaizer Chiefs have hit the jackpot with many signings in the past, but there have also been some bizarre acquisitions, including players who left the club without making a single appearance.

Amakhosi have, in recent years, come under-fire by their supporters for their questionable activity in the transfer market and this has seen them fall behind their two fellow giants, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

They have signed players who just did not fit in and left within a period of a year, or in some cases less. Some of the players who left Amakhosi without playing a single game are James Kotei, Enocent Mkhabela and Abbas Amidu.

Players such as Ivan Bukenya, Sula Matovu, Godfrey Walusimbi, Gordon Gilbert, Mario Booysen, Bongani Ndulula and Gustavo Paez were questionable signings and none of these players made any sort of impact before leaving Naturena.

Chiefs will get a chance to sign new players in the next transfer window after their ban and supporters will be hoping that they make the right choices in the market. In the last six years or so, Amakhosi have had quite a few clearouts, with their signings making very little impact at Naturena.
