Another Signing Confirmed For The Rockets

Following the signing of Thabo Nthethe earlier this week, TS Galaxy have another new addition to the squad in Matome Mabeba, as the second tier league club continue to restructure the squad.

The former Nedbank Cup champions, who are preparing for a clash against TS Sporting in their next GladAfrica Championship match this Sunday, have confirmed signing Mabeba on a 16-month contract.

“TS Galaxy FC is proud to confirm the signing of Matome Mabeba who joins The Rockets from Baroka FC. Mabeba signed a 16-month contract which will see him in the Rockets ship until 30 June 2021,” confirmed TS Galaxy on the club’s official website.

“Mabeba’s signing comes at a crucial time for The Rockets who are hard at work as they aim to climb up the Glad Africa Championship table following a great result in their last match against Tuks. Mabeba, who also can operate on the wing was an integral part of the team that won last season’s Telkom Knockout where he netted a stunning free kick against Bidvest Wits in the semi-finals enroute to winning the competition,” the Mpumalanga-based outfit stated.

In welcoming the new signing, club President, Tim Sukazi said, “We are excited to welcome Matome to TS Galaxy Football Club. The quality that he brings adds stealth and a new dimension to our style of play. He has played at the highest level and his experience will feed onto the rest of the squad and create healthy competition. We wish him nothing but the best at his new home.”
