The 30-year-old has scored nine goals in just 16 Absa Premiership games so far this season, his best goal return of any campaign in his career, and will have been looking forward to finishing the season on a high as Masandawana sought to topple leaders, Kaizer Chiefs.
Now though, with football at a standstill due to the Coronavirus outbreak, ‘Mshishi’ is stuck at home like everybody else, working hard on his own to make sure he's in top shape for whenever football does return to action.
Speaking to PUMA about his situation, the attacker said, “Basically, spending time around family, supporting each other, enjoying the little things that often we take for granted. Knowing for sure that this is a temporary obstacle and above all safety and adherence are priorities. Also, through praying with the family and having faith gives me strength daily.”
Meanwhile, when asked what words he lives by, the attacker replied, “Knowing for sure that tough times don’t last forever, remaining calm and staying focused. Finding various ways to navigate through difficulties and always inspire myself and those around me to be better.
“I’m a firm believer of continually learning and trying new things at all times, spending quality times with kids and taking interest in their studies. Not the greatest at cooking but the basics I try.”
