Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed their second new signing this afternoon and he’s already joined up with the Brazilians in their camp in Rustenburg.
Lesedi Kapinga, who parted ways with Black Leopards earlier this week, was unveiled by Sundowns this afternoon, with the Chloorkop-based club confirming that they have secured his services on a five-year deal.

However, before officially starting to train with his new teammates, Kapinga is currently in isolation as part of the COVID-19 protocols.
The 25-year-old will also need to wait until the transfer window opens for him to be registered to play for the Brazilians.
“Lesedi is a good young prospect and we are looking at getting as many young players as we can. He fits the programme with his age and the style of play. He is the type of player who likes combination play and loves one on one and taking defenders on. He scores goals also and I wish him all the best,” Mosimane said on the club’s official website.

George Maluleka also recently joined up with the Brazilians in Rustenburg following his departure from Amakhosi and like Kapinga, he will only be eligible to play for Sundowns once the transfer window opens.
