Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt is hoping to get the career of a player he worked with at Bidvest Wits back on track.
Botswana international Mogakolodi Ngele is set to be announced as one of Chippa's new players ahead of the new season, along with the likes of Phakamani Mahlambi and Rodney Ramagalela, players Hunt spoke about during the launch of the new DStv Premiership season at FNB Stadium on Wednesday, August 18.
Ngele worked with Hunt when they won the Premiership title at Wits in 2016/17, while the 30-year-old midfielder was on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
"I've got Ngele there with me. He played for me. Even on one leg, he can still do the job. Rodney (Ramagalela) - he can run all day, so he will be there. As I said, every little piece, we need to fill in."
"He (Ngele) is obviously three or four years older and he has missed a lot of football. He's been with us for two weeks. We are trying to get him back, (because) he has not played much. But he's got the quality, he can play the pass. When Phakamani is fit and he is fit, then you've got half a chance, you know."
