Gabadinho Mhango’s goal celebration has earned famous status in the Absa Premiership and he’s even got the numbers to back it up.
The Orlando Pirates striker is currently the top goalscorer in the league with 12 goals so far and it doesn’t seem like the 27-year-old will stop any time soon.
While consistent in hitting the back of the net, Mhango has also kept the same goal celebration this season and speaking to Soccer Laduma this week, the Malawian explained what it is all about.

“Actually, my celebration, I don’t know how other people take it, but for me I just close my ears and not listen to anything. I focus on what I can do. That’s what it’s about,” Mhango said.
The player then went on to reveal why it is always a challenge to reach double digits in the Absa Premiership.
“I think probably it’s because the league is tough. It’s not easy and the defenders are not making it easy. They know the movement of strikers; they know how to control the strikers. So, yeah, I can say it’s not always easy for strikers in the Absa Premiership,” he added.
