A former Orlando Pirates youngster is ready to start afresh with a new club, following his unsuccessful spell with the Soweto giants.
After parting ways with Pirates earlier this year, following a stint in the third tier with Bucs’ feeder club Pele Pele FC, Yusuf Maart has surfaced at Sekhukhune united and was among the players unveiled by the club at a glittering function held at the Malonjeni Guest Farm in Johannesburg on Thursday.

Maart, 25, is grateful for the opportunity given to him by the Malatji family under the club’s chairman Simon and Jonas, the CEO, to revive his career with the team.
“To be honest it’s something great, it’s a new chapter and it’s a new team and it’s something new that we can develop together and grow together. It’s something great for me also to step up again and show myself again as a player,” the attacking midfielder told the Siya crew.

“Like you say, people expected me to play in the PSL (DStv Premiership) but sometimes it doesn’t work the way you want it and you have to take what God gives you. On the other hand, I am proud of myself for coming here and I have something to make something good out of my life with this new chapter in this new team,” said Maart.
