The possibility of the domestic campaign extending beyond May is now very likely, which means that the transfer window dates, July-August, will also be affected.
As reported over the past months, many players have been strongly linked with making moves away from their current clubs after June 30, however, due to the current circumstances and FIFA’s latest decision, they may have to wait a little longer.
We take a look at a few of the players who have recently been linked or had their moves confirmed for after June 30.

As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Grant Margeman is raring to go into next season with Mamelodi Sundowns after signing a three-year deal with the club, but will now have to remain with the Urban Warriors a bit longer to help them fight their way back in to the top flight.
However, three more players will also have to wait a little while longer before making their way to Sundowns. Kaizer Chiefs’ George Maluleka, who’s signed a pre-contract with the Brazilians, Jody February who is currently with Cape Umoya United and Lesedi Kapinga, who is believed to have also signed a pre-contract with the Brazilians.

Elsewhere, Sage Stephens, who will see his contract with Cape Town City come to an end at the end of this season, has also been strongly linked with a move to Stellenbosch FC as he goes in search of regular game-time, however, will have to endure even longer before making the move.
Leonardo Castro has also been linked with a move away from Chiefs, with Sundowns' emerging as an interested suitor and while he is assessing his options, which includes staying at Amakhosi, he will need to wait after the season draws to a close, should he want to continue with his professional career elsewhere.
While these are just a few of many players in the PSL who are being linked with moves for the upcoming window, it remains to be seen just how busy the transfer period will be, given the current circumstances.
