After opting against extending his stay at the end of last season, Jan Olde Riekerink will have the chance to take another look at a returning midfielder.
Cape Town City snapped up the signature of Travis Graham in February this year on a short-term deal and after the 26-year-old picked up an injury the club opted against extending his stay.
However, Graham continued his treatment and rehab at the club and it has since been confirmed that the player will start training with City in the coming days, with Head Coach Riekerink set to assess and make a decision about him thereafter.
“He will join the group (this) week. He already trained with the group. He was not fit. I know he was the youngest captain of Ajax Cape Town and a very talented player, but I prefer to judge when I work with him, not from stories or the past. I haven’t seen him in the last 14 years,” the Dutch tactician confirmed on the weekend.
