Not that there’s much we don’t already know, but Bruce Bvuma, fresh from having his Kaizer Chiefs contract renewed, opened up about the latest developments.
The Amakhosi goalkeeper will now remain at Naturena at least until June 2024 as per confirmation of his agreement with the club on Monday, the player telling the club’s media department that it was all down to hard work.
“I am excited about renewing my contract, it’s been a dream playing for Chiefs – and the fact that they trusted me enough to renew with them means a lot to me,” Bvuma said.

Despite a lack of game time, with Daniel Akpeyi currently the preferred first team goalie even ahead of veteran Itumeleng Khune, the young Bvuma is happy to wait his turn.
“That means I will continue living my dream and I feel blessed for being in this team this long. I just hope I can keep going forward. It’s only by the grace of God that I have kept going because there’s nothing special about me – honestly,” he explained.
“I just keep on praying and working, and staying out of trouble, making sure that I do the right thing. Everything just comes to the table, there’s nothing special that keeps me here at Chiefs and gets me to the national team.”
