There have been different opinions regarding the performances of Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Khama Billiat, as some pundits have thought that the form of the 29-year-old has dipped.

“People who are criticizing Khama Billiat don’t understand football. Khama Billiat is a good player, better than all those players that are there (at Chiefs) for me. “People should remember that for a player to be a superstar he should be surrounded by players similar to him. At Sundowns he was surrounded by superstars like Percy Tau, Keagan Dolly and Mshishi (Themba Zwane), and it was easy for him to shine as he was playing with players similar to him. Now, are people judging him based on what? Just look at the system that he has been playing in – the 4-3-3, it doesn’t suit him. The system doesn’t allow for creativity and is forcing players like Khama to be static. You need three or four other Khamas for Khama Billiat to show again who he really is,” the Daveyton-born player adds.
