George Lebese will have to continue his search for new club, after the team he was recently linked with, confirmed that there was no interest in his services.
It had been thought that AmaZulu would be keen to give Lebese a chance, following the KwaZulu-Natal club’s recent signing of the former Kaizer Chiefs duo of Mario Booysen and Tsepo Masilela.
However, the coach of the Durban-based side Jozef Vukusic says the 30-year-old Mamelodi-born player has never been thought of as part of the plans for Usuthu, as reported in edition 1152 of Soccer Laduma.
“He was never in AmaZulu’s plans,” the Slovakian coach told the Siya crew.
Having returned to Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last season from a loan stint with SuperSport United, Lebese parted ways with the Chloorkop outfit in September, and has been without a club since.
