AmaZulu FC’s Luvuyo Memela has responded to the Orlando Pirates supporters and gave his prediction for the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Some section of fans at Pirates have always expressed their sadness in losing Memela and have often questioned the club’s decision to let him go.
Memela left the Buccaneers and made the move to AmaZulu in October of 2020.
In his response, the left-footed attacker has said that as much as he appreciates the love from the Ghosts, these things happen in football and he had to leave.
"I appreciate the support and it’s football my brother, who was supposed to leave? So it had to happen, I had to leave. In football people come and go, I'm still enjoying football here at AmaZulu like I was at Orlando Pirates,” Memela told the Siya crew.
"So it happened, they have good young players like Kabelo Dlamini, I believe in good time they will do a lot for the club and I wish they can be supported more like they support me, even when I'm no longer there.”
With the Buccaneers about to play their biggest match of the season on Friday in the CAF Confederation Cup, Memela believes nothing will stop his former teammates from winning the trophy.
"I wish them luck, I know they can win the CAF Confederations Cup, I don't see them losing this final, they seem hungry.”
