Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has finally received the sought after Ballon D’or trophy, well sort of…
The Polish striker is on the back of a successful season where he led his Bayern team to an impressive treble of trophies including the UEFA Champions League.
The 32-year-old looked set to clinch the coveted trophy, held by reigning winner Lionel Messi, who ironically Lewandowski’s Bayern swept aside 8-2 on the road to the Champions League final.
Sadly, this year’s edition of the Ballon D’or Award was cancelled duo to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Lewandowski did manage to get his hands on the trophy, well a replica of it.
Sharing on his Instagram page, the towering striker showed off the trophy that was built for him by Queba Hombre.
“Thank you @quebahombre for this great trophy you have built for me” Lewandowski wrote on his Instagram page.
Do you think Lewandowski deserves the real Ballon D’ or Award?
