Following Mamelodi Sundowns' 2019/20 Absa Premiership triumph, Gaston Sirino penned an emotional post on Instagram indicating how thankful he was for the support he got throughout the season. Check it out!
The Uruguayan has become an important component of coach Pitso Mosimane's attacking set-up, and has cemented his place in the club's starting XI ever since he made the move to South Africa in 2018.
In 40 appearances in the 2019/20 campaign, Sirino managed to score 12 goals and assisted his teammates on 10 occasions from midfield too.
After receiving his league winner's medial, Sirino took to Instagram to upload a series of images, and at the same time, give a word of thanks to those who had supported him on his journey thus far.
"Eternally grateful to God for a title. I'm so excited, happy because we fought until the end, when we were left for dead we were there giving our best, this is the true fruit of all that we went through," he wrote, loosely translated from Spanish.
"Locked up more than two months, missing our family who are our fundamental support, I want to say thank you to my wife and daughters who supports me day by day and I miss them so much but football gives you many beautiful things.
"Thank you for all the support and for believing in this group that every year continues to prove that is the best!"
