The date of this year’s Telkom Knockout Final has been confirmed by the Premier Soccer League.
In anticipation of yet another exciting tournament this year, the TKO knockout draw was conducted in Randburg in Johannesburg on Wednesday afternoon.
It has been further confirmed that this year’s competition is scheduled to start on October 18, with the actual dates, venues and kick-off times of the Last 16 matches to be announced at a later stage.
Defending champions Baroka, who beat Orlando Pirates in last year’s final on December 08, will get a chance for their defence of the trophy underway with a match against SuperSport United.
Having already played in the league in what was deemed an exciting match in the Mother City, Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs will feature in one of the much anticipated TKO Last 16 matches.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed from the PSL’s media department that this year’s TKO Final has been scheduled for December 14.
“PSL acting Chief Executive Mato Madlala said she expects the 2019 edition of the Telkom Knockout to produce more magic and to once again be the point of discussion amongst football fans from October to December. The final of the Telkom Knockout will be played on 14 December 2019 at a venue that is yet to be announced,” confirmed the PSL in a statement.
