Ruud Krol has left Orlando Pirates a message for their Telkom Knockout Final, which has been scheduled for this weekend against Baroka FC.
The Buccaneers are oozing with confidence at the moment after their 3-1 win (8-2 on aggregate) against Light Stars FC of Seychelles in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Bucs fans still remember Krol for being the coach that led their team to their famous treble in the 2010/11 season, after the Dutchman won the MTN8, PSL title and the Nedbank Cup for the Soweto giants.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma radio this week, Krol congratulated Milutin Sredojevic’s side for reaching the TKO final, while also reminding them about the importance of winning the trophy that eluded him during his time with the club.
“Congratulations to Pirates for being in the final, it only counts when you win the cup. Pirates have the better team than Baroka. Cup football is different from league football. The final is a different occasion, they must make sure they don’t undermine their opponent,” said Krol.

Saturday’s match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium will be Pirates’ ninth TKO final although the team has only won the competition once in 2011.
