Following their exit from the Telkom Knockout, Chippa United head coach, Roger Sikhakhane, says they now can focus on doing well in the league.
The Chilli Boys were dumped out of the cup, after going down 2-0 at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
However, the Chippa manager says they have to concentrate on their league campaign.
"It didn't work according to our plan, if you look at Sundowns, they played with Zungu and Kekana too deep, so that means they were so cautious about us," Sikhakhane said after the game.
"We saw that after, that's why we introduced Lerato Chabangu and another striker, as we wanted to put more pressure up there but it didn't work but congratulations to them.
"For us we have to concentrate on the league and if I had to choose between the league and cup at the moment, I'll choose the league games, because we need to be consistent.
"I want to thank to the Chairman for bringing us these quality players, Daniel (Akpeyi) and Chabangu and you can see now the team is a little more balance now."
