The Premier Soccer League have confirmed that three arrests have been made in connection with the illegal sale of Telkom Knockout tickets for the Soweto derby.
Tickets for Saturday's clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were sold out two hours after going on sale.
The PSL have now revealed that three suspects have been arrested for illegal sale of tickets for the clash at Moses Mabihda Stadium.
A statement from the PSL read,"Three people have been arrested in Durban this afternoon, Tuesday 20 November 2018, for illegal sale of Telkom Knockout tickets for the semi-final fixture between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida at 15h00 on Saturday.
Tickets for this fixture were sold out last week. Therefore anyone selling tickets for this game is doing so illegally.
In the days leading up to Saturday and also on match day, Police will be monitoring various places in and around KwaZulu Natal to curb the illegal sale of tickets.
In the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals, six people were arrested. Four remain in custody."
