The Premier Soccer League confirmed today that again, a total of R14.2 million in prize money would be distributed to the 16 teams participating in the Telkom Knockout competition.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United will face off in this year’s final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, with the winner of the competition set to walk away with R4 million in prize money.
The runners-up in the final will receive R1.5 million, while the semi-finalists, Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows, will all get R750 000 each.

The quarterfinalists, Highlands Park, Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United and Chippa United will walk away with R400 000, while the teams who lost out in the round of 16 will receive R200 000 each.
In addition, all 16 teams will receive a R250 000 participation fee, which means that the winner of the competition will walk away with R4.25 million.
