Bucs Aim To End Drought, Play Chiefs Where They Last Won Trophy

With Orlando Pirates set to play against Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this coming weekend, it will be a return for Bucs to the venue they last won a trophy.

Amakhosi and Bucs are set to meet in the Telkom Knockout semi-final at the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup venue in Durban this coming Saturday.

The Buccaneers are chasing their first major trophy after four years and the Soweto giants' last trophy was the Nedbank Cup in 2014 when the team beat Bidvest Wits 3-1 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The eagerly-awaited clash between Chiefs and Bucs should remind the fans of the happy days when the team won the trophy.

Furthermore, it was at the same venue that Bucs last won the Telkom Knockout in 2011 with Thulasizwe Mbuyane, Daine Klate and Issac Chansa scoring the goals in their 3-1 win over Bidvest Wits.
